(Detroit, MI). Sonnie Day joins international organization "Angel Tree" for their Radio Promotions Campaign for the Christmas season. Angel Tree is one of the programs of international organization, Prison Fellowship. Prison Fellowship provides programs and services for men and women who are incarcerated, returning home, and support services for their children. Prison Fellowships says, "There are 1.7 million kids who needs a Christmas and to know that Jesus loves them". Through their program Angel Tree, they will partner with churches and organization throughout the United States to make sure children whose parents are incarcerated receive a gift on their parent's behalf on Christmas morning.
This organization is special to Sonnie because her daughter was a recipient of the Angel Tree program for several years as a young child. Sonnie says, "It was through the support of the community, family and Angel Tree that kept my daughter smiling at Christmas". Sonnie Day's story has been published by the Huffington Post, and shared with radio stations within the Metro Detroit area.
Now, Sonnie Day will be sharing her story on radio stations throughout the country during this holiday season. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ME & YOU
This morning I opened by Bible randomly to Malachi and whatever I have previously underlined or highlighted is what I focus in on. So, it was Malachi 3: 13-17 which is very interesting for those who serve the Lord.
Israel was speaking arrogantly against God, feeling as though serving God wasn't worth it. Suggesting that those who do not serve Him still gets blessed and those who do evil prosper and when they put God to a test they get away with it. So, WHAT'S THE POINT!!
Next, those who feared the Lord and honored His name, had conversation with one another. And a scroll of remembrance was written in their name in the presence of the Lord. God replies saying, "The day when I act, I will spare those who serve me and they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them as a father does his son. Then you will know their is difference between the righteous and the wicked.
Friends, I know sometimes you get frustrated serving the Lord and people who don't, appears to be getting ahead. Even the wicked ones, who you know serve the devil with gladness are prospering! There will come a day when you will see the difference between us and them. You may not have all that they have, or have been mocked about church, God, and serving Him. But, hold on to your EXCITEMENT and JOY for JESUS, your reward is coming!
Lord, I pray that you will send a RIGHT NOW BLESSING for those that read this and are true servants of you! Give them a double portion of what they are in need of right now, and give them what their hearts desire that aligns with your will, in Jesus name AMEN!
